ME HughesME Hughes

Born in Tucson, Arizona, 1957, in a whirlwind of miracles, ME, a newly published author of Lindsey's Backyard Adventure, is more casually known as Betsy. God has a purpose for everyone's life, as hers clearly indicates. ME has experienced repeated miracles as God's will has overcome several attempts on her life. Even in the womb, doctors marveled at the, almost full term, pregnancy, when during the first 8 months it was clear that her Mother's body was naturally trying to abort her. Then, after a Cesarean Section was performed at 8 months in an attempt to save her life from a sudden onset of distress, she again began to die. A blood transfusion was needed, but there was no match that was close enough, until a sailor on leave, who's blood was a good match, gave his blood for her. One year later, ME's health was again plummeting. Another transfusion was needed, but the doctor hoped against hope that blood from the same doner could be used. How could anyone expect that to happen, when he was deployed. As miracles happen and as God would have it, the same sailor was on leave, again!

Battling a weak immune system until this day, ME knows, first hand, how God's grace is sufficient. "Lindsey's Backyard Adventure" has been called by many, a story for all ages and timeless because of its content and ability to reach any reader with the message of hope and encouragment. "God wrote it, I penned it" says ME Hughes. "The message is one that we all need to remember... that God has a plan for all of our lives; and when we accept his will for our lives, we will always find an Adventure!" One such adventure for ME has been writing itself. Something she never cared for in the past, yet now she loves; because it is a direct gift from God. Hughes comments on her experience. "His voice was so clear; not audible, but so real that felt as if it was audiable! It was almost indiscripbable! A deep knowing and peace surrounded me–no, not surrounded me, it was more like it was a part of me...or I was a part of it. Something like blood flowing through my veins. It was a moment of His will mingling with mine. I often hear His still small voice, but there was only one other time in my life where I heard my Lord speak to me with such clarity and authority. Sadly, though, I refuted it. 'I hate to write!', I remember saying. So foolish, for as quickly as His voice mingled with mine, it was gone. I remember an immediate feeling of sadness and loss, but stuck to my guns. I quickly began stating my case to God, saying foolish things like, 'Lord, I can't write...I hate to write! Anyway, what could I write about? No, that can't be what you want me to do.' It wasn't until I confessed and submitted to His voice and will, months later, that He gave me His precious gift to penn for Him. I am humbled to write, for I do not count myself a writer in my own rite. No, not a bit! It is a gift for Him, in whom we live and move and have our being. All this to say, dear one, that no matter your present state or your past, God has a plan for the rest of your life, beginning today and for the rest of time. All you have suffered and experienced is what makes your cross. Pick it up, and carry it. Do not be afarid or overwhelmed. It will not be too heavy, if you greatfully accept all that makes up your cross. If you try to lighten your cross, you will find that sawing off the weight, will lighten your load, for a short time; but in the end, it is the whole cross you must bear. It is all the length and weight of that cross that will help you to cross the deep chasm that separates you from where you are today, to where God wants you to be. My Bio reads like a message. It says, "Accept God's will for your life, find your gift, and use it for Him. It is what is called living intentionally. My intent for this Bio, is to uplift the Majesty of God.” ME invites you to visit her website, at 3in1stories.com
